Although it is still cold in Tokyo, especially in yesterday evening, we finally decided to go Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for a short trip. I have been here for 4 years but never go to the famous interesting place. Shan's been here for only a week, yet she made the trip. I am so glad we can go for it together. Actually, I was always waiting someone. Shan was in Shenzhen-a typical southern city in mainland China-for about two years. I was afraid she could get cold even worse. Thanks to the god because everything is okay.
The building was designed by Kenzo Tange(丹下健三) and it held the tallest building in Japan from 1991~2006. The two top-floor panoramic observation decks are free of charge to the public and contain many gift shops and cafes. The north deck opens till 22:30pm but south one could be accessible before 17:30pm. You can see Fuji Mountain in the north deck if you get there in a sunny day, however, the night view of 'Tokyo tower window' is my favorite. So, we arrived at 21:20pm.
My lovely wife is an architect. She loves Kenzo Tange's work very much. Fortunately, we noticed another attractive building(モード学園コクーンタワー) in front of Shinjuku Station comes from Tange's workshop. That is a surprising gift for both of us. We really love it.
She's happy. And I also get excite with the great lumen. Tokyo tower's shining in warm orange there in a unfamiliar perspective. Her hands were always in mine. I was touched by our moment. 4 years bachelor life ends up with a little sadness but now happiness fulfill my heart without regret. I just took this picture for her.
